Pine Needle Wreath Under and Over

I used the pretty and versatile new Simon Says Stamp Pine Needle Wreath to make two cards, one with color ABOVE the white panel, this first one, the green is two layers BELOW the white panel...
I die cut the panel  then added two more white die cuts, and adhered before adding a piece of green cardstock under those layers.  I stamped the sentiment...another new pretty and versatile set from Simon, Stained Glass Greetings, in Simon Evergreen and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  Added a touch more gold with my Pilot gold marker.  Added punched dots of's a closeup...

The second one, I die cut the wreath and didn't take the pieces out.  I simply added a green layer OVER the white, so this one is a tiny raised...
I die cut the sentiment with an older Simon die with some scrap patterned paper as well as a stamped sentiement from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set, and added a striped green panel at the bottom.  The dots around the wreath are from the same patterned paper as the sentiment...

I'm working on another wreath with this die...SUCH FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

When You Don't Know Which You Like Better...Make Both!

Sometimes life can put creativity and creating in a funky place, but that seems to be when getting into the craft room and creating is absolutely a MUST!  This morning, I took out the My Favorite Things Thank You Circle Frame that I had gotten recently, and the MFT Stitched Flower dies and made a couple thank you cards!  Only thing was...I couldn't decide which way I liked the frame better, in white or kraft....sooooo....I made two each way...(can you tell what color scheme I am LOVING right now??)...
I layered the Thank you die and flowers 3 times each...stems and leaves once.   I adhered a piece of chipboard to the underside of the top panel for some depth.
Then, I had the thought  to use kraft for the frame...amd I liked that TOO...SOOOO  I made a card just like the first, except with a frame that matched the card...
Oh happiness to my thankful for being able to make cards!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

On a String Christmas Stars

I love the Simon Says Stamp On a String stamp and die set...the sentiments and all the little possibilities of things hanging on those!!  Today, I used the stars and made a non traditional colored Christmas card...
I saw the color combo when I googled Christmas colors, so combined the gold embossed strings and sentiment with some coral and aqua blue cardstock and enamel dots.  I layered the stars and added a piece of gold cardstock behind the white panel to show through on the top and bottom of the card.  Here's a close up...
This set can be used for more than just Christmas and winter... oh yeah..what fun...have more ideas:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simon Says Stamp Making Spirits Bright Blog Hop + Giveaway!

The Simon Says Stamp Blog is hosting a blog hop today celebrating their latest release, Making Spirits Bright...a wonderful assortment of stamps, dies and creative supplies, designed especially for the upcoming seasons and holidays...oh what wonderful fun!!  I am joining a number of amazing artists today, to showcase the amazing new products now available for sale over at Simon Says Stamp!!

I don't know about you, but life is busy...and around the holidays...really busy!  The cards I made to show you for the hop today, are three cards all using the same stamp set, stamps, and layouts...but with different color schemes.
They are simple, easy and gold embossed, would be fun and easy to make a bunch for sending...what's not to love?!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little tree...I think it is GORGEOUS!!! It is from the new set, Give Thanks...a beautiful set of greenery that celebrates both Thanksgiving and Christmas!!   I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little tree embossed in gold!!! So, these first trees, I chose three shades of green, layered the trees and the white panel (with recycled chipboard from kleenex packaging:):)!!), and straightened the curved sentiment from the set, to stamp it straight beneath the panel of trees.  I DID use the pretty new background stamp, Center Cut Kaleidoscope with versa mark, and stamped it onto the green panel to give the background some "texture" and interest, with it's pattern.

I used black, dark gray and light gray cardstock for this second version.  I love the look of black and gold!!

The third one, I used kraft, salmon and aqua blue colored cardstocks.  You can see the background best with this card. SUCH...GREAT...FUN!!!!

Ok...on to the fun for you!!  Simon will generously be giving a $25 coupon to one commenter from each and every blog on the hop, simply leave a comment for a chance to win!!  The winners will be chosen over this next weekend and the winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp Blog on Tuesday, so make sure you check the blog to see if you're a winner!
